My First iMovie Trailer: Cyberbullying is Real
Reflection about iMovie App
This week exploration in the technology road was iMovie and creating an iMovie Trailer. I truly had fun working with iMovie and creating this trailer based on Cyberbullying. I chose this topic because currently, my hometown is having a major Cyberbullying issue happening. One of my friend’s little brother has been a victim of cyberbullying that almost took his life back in late May. His family actively post on Facebook about what is going and recently they post tweets of what his bullying are saying. These tweets are a powerful statement that Cyberbullying is Real. That is why I chose to create an iMovie Trailer about Cyberbullying.
I enjoyed working with iMovie to create this video because I have used this app before but it was on a computer. I used it in my yearbook class in high school to build portfolios of our pictures throughout the year. I think the iMovie app was easier than the computer version of iMovie. You can see everything you need to create a trailer or movie right in front of you on the iPad. I truly appreciated how easy it was to upload pictures and videos in iMovie. It makes life better when it is simple and easy.
I will use iMovie in my classroom. I am already thinking of ideas how. I am foreseeing reenactments of historical events or stories, creating commercials for an item that make, and set up their storyline. My future students can get creative and create their magic in the movie industry. They can cover topics that are important to them just like how the Cyberbullying is an important for me. iMovie app is an app to have on your iPad as a teacher because you can create an end of the year movie from photos and videos throughout the year. I strongly suggest using iMovie in the classroom because you can virtually make any movie or trailer and it is easy for students to use.
